French Basin Trail is a 45-minute walk around a Ducks Unlimited wetland. 

A two-loop trail system by Bay of Fundy shore through mixed woodlands, look-offs and old stone foundations, spectacular waterfall. Toilets, picnic tables. Both trails 10km return.

Generations of families have paddled, hiked, camped, and connected with nature and Mi’kmaw culture here. Nova Scotia’s only Dark Sky Preserve. Check out rock engravings known as petroglyphs.

Each Spring and Summer a variety of whales, porpoises, seabirds and dolphins make their way back to the waters off Nova Scotia as part of their annual migration. And each year thousands of people head out on the water to witness it first hand.
